Graduated from the College of Medicine at Korea University; earned a Master's and Doctorate degree from the Graduate School of Medicine at Korea University. Served as a Specialist and Visiting Professor in the Department of Surgery at Korea University Medical Center, and as an Outpatient Professor and Breast Endocrine Surgery Specialist (Specialist Clinic) at Samsung Medical Center. Completed fellowships in Breast Surgery and Plastic Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and in Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Health. Currently serves as President of the Korean Society of Breast and Thyroid Surgery, President of the Korean Society for Breast Surgery, Vice President of the Korean Breast Cancer Society, and is a Full Member of the Korean Surgical Society. Holds full membership (lifetime) in the Korean Association of Specialized Breast Clinics, is a member of the Korean Society of Endocrine Surgery, and a Full Member of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Also a Full Member of the American Society of Breast Disease.
