Obtained a master's degree from Seoul National University and completed an internship at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital. Previously served as a surgeon at Seoul National University Hospital, a physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, director of Hanmyung Clinic, dean of the Myeong-dong branch of Abiru Clinic, and director of VS Line Clinic. Member of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Korean Society for the Study of Obesity. Received the commendation of the President of the Korean Medical Association in 2002 and was awarded the Best Presentation Prize at the Autumn Meeting of the Korean Association of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery in 2014 and 2015.
